The Farm

    Vermudarstadir is a cosy horse farm for Icelandic horses located in the beautiful valley of Ólafsfjördurdalur.

Ólafsfjördur is a town in the northeast of Iceland. A few years ago the villages of Ólafsfjördur and Siglusfjördur has merged to form one municipality, despite the two of them being separated by a tunnel.

The farm is run by me, Mikael Mikaelsson, a retired psychological therapist, born in 1942. I always have a few WWOOFers to help me out with the duties here.

We offer horse riding tours on our lovely horses. Depending on the weather we can ride in the mountains or in the valley with beautiful surroundings.

We also have a beautiful hut for rent, made out of Norwegian wood.
